Some of my fellow Bushpeers have photos of an Australasian Bitterns on the ground. This is not normal.

What is normal is the view I got. An Australasian Bittern flushed from the reeds and disappearing into the distance. This is the only view I believe anybody gets.

I share with you my view in the photo above.

I wouldn't bother looking at those other photos if I were you. I think they probably found a dead bird and stood it up.
